Spangler Disneyland 2011: Day 4

February 12, 2011

We planned our trip to coincide with my Great Grandma Venna Poulsen's 100th birthday. Yes, 100!!!! She still lives alone and is as quick as any person half her age. She has some limited sight and her voice isn't as strong as it once was, but that is the extent of her health problems.

My Dad's branch of the family:
Grandma Fannin, Grandpa Fannin, ME, August, Kelsey, Tyler with Danner, Mike (Dad), Casey, Hayley, Grandma Poulsen (sitting) with Bella, Joshua, Caleb, Gabe and Estelle. (Not pictured: Nicole, Eric and Kael)

This is my Dad and his parent and Grandma:
Mike, Kerry, Grandpa, Great Grandma (Grandpa's mom), Grandma, Nanette

I would LOVE to live closer to sit down and hear the stories she has to tell! Here is an article about her life:
I only hope I can live up to her legacy!

After the party we went to Seal Beach and enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful beach. My kids are beach kids. Strange. We live in Utah. But we are all beach people. Someday. Someday...

The fam! Don't let this horrible picture fool you. The kids loved every minute of it.

Spangler Disneyland 2011: Day 3

While we enjoyed CA Adventure, the excitement that accompanies entering Disney doesn't compare. Waiting in front of the castle makes me feel like a little kid again!

We went on this day with my Dad, Bro. Casey, SIL Hayley, Niece Estelle, Nephew Gabe, Bro Tyler, SIL Kelsey (in pic) and nephew Danner.

This is one of my favorite pics of the whole trip.
Tyler, Dad and Casey doing there best at being Cavemen!
(Can you believe these are my "little" brothers?)

Spangler Disneyland 2011: Day 2

February 10, 2011

We started off at California Adventure this year so we could enjoy it without being tired. On previous trips we always do a few days at Disneyland and by the time we get to CA ADV we are so tired that we never enjoy it. The plan worked and we had a great time!
Buzz baby!

My kids didn't believe me when I told them that they didn't need to WEAR the glasses in line. They didn't believe me. They didn't want to miss a thing.

While Caleb and August went on the rollercoaster, I took the little kids to see Woody. Josh was star struck. You can tell by the picture that Josh just wanted the FULL experience.

We have never done the wilderness park area before, but it was a highlight of the trip. All 3 kids loved it. It's a great place to burn energy and run around.

Over, and over, and over again!
